College football – This Just In

“We lose a quality person, teammate and contributor to the program.

Mathieu and the others were suspended for their team’s game against Auburn.

The 5-foot-9, 175-pound Mathieu got his nickname for his fearlessness on the gridiron. He also has four picks, 11 forced fumbles and eight fumble recoveries, as well as four touchdowns, two on punt returns and two on fumble returns.

It’s been said that Honey Badger don’t care, but what may be more accurate is that Honey Badger don’t play – at least not for the LSU Tigers.. ESPN reported at the time that the trio tested positive for synthetic marijuana.

The team, which played in last year’s national college football championship game, announced this afternoon that their top player and arguably the nation’s best cornerback, Tyrann Mathieu, has been dismissed for violating team policy.

Despite missing the game, Mathieu was still a finalist for the Heisman Trophy, awarded to college football’s best player, as a sophomore. We will do what we can as coaches, teammates, and friends to get him on a path where he can have success. We are going to miss him.”

“This is a very difficult day for our team,” head coach Les Miles said. However, with that being said, we have a standard that our players are held to and when that standard is not met, there are consequences.”

LSU did not say which team rule Mathieu broke. because the honey badger takes what it wants, and Tyrann takes what he wants on the field,” ESPN reported today in a profile.

According to LSU, the Columbus, Ohio, native who attended high school in New Orleans, has registered 133 tackles – 16 for a loss – in 26 games for the Tigers. In addition to winning the Chuck Bednarik Award, given to the top defensive player, he came in fifth in Heisman voting with 34 first-place votes and was the only defensive player among 10 finalists.

The sports network had to add an editor’s note, saying, “This story was published prior to Tyrann Mathieu’s dismissal from LSU’s football program on August 10.”

Said the Dallas Cowboys’ Morris Claiborne, a former teammate of Mathieu’s: “Tyrann deserved the nickname … The 20-year-old All-American ran into trouble last year when he and two other players violated the team’s drug policy. Honey badgers are known to scrap with animals many times their size, including lions, and even tangle (successfully) with poisonous snakes.

Miles added, “It’s hard because we all love Tyrann

Predict Football Score Predictions – How to Correctly Predict Outcome of Football Matches and Win Your Football Bet

If you are serious about making money from football betting, then I say you join them and get yourself a profitable system right away. Some of these football betting systems deliver strike rates up to 80% over an entire season, and is still being refined. Predict Football Score Predictions

The key to their success, is in the systems which they use to know which bets are worth placing. While a lot of people out there argue that football betting is won on factors like “gut feel”, “luck” and “experience”, the biggest winners that consistently make tons of money betting on football are still the ones who go about their “investments” in a scientific and systematic manner.

Predict Football Score Predictions

Sports books determine football handicaps and odds based on a number of data which they have collected over the years, therefore, while most people think that they can perfectly master the skill of prediction football just by understanding the sport itself, only a very small number of people who bet on football manage to win money consistently. As the saying goes, the ball is round, and there are factors in every game that can tilt the balance and the score line in an instant, so to regularly hit results perfectly in prediction football is certainly not possible. These experts realize something that most people do not, and that is, prediction football do not need to be accurate to the extremes with match results, but all they need is a prediction football system to tell them whether their bets have a good enough opportunity to beat the sports books’ handicap.. Predict Football Score Predictions

So, how does the small percentage of big winners manage to win their football bets over and over?

The secret lies in their systematic approach to betting on football.

Prediction football is more of a science than an art

Yamaki Acoustic Guitars

The sound board on the Yamaki Deluxe model is clearly Western Red Cedar, and that is what my Uncle Tom’s Yamaki flat top guitar features as a sound board.

If you recall that I mentioned something about having two uncles with Yamaki acoustic guitars – that’s correct. But there is also a pretty rare brand of guitar out there that you might run into, and that is the Yamaki brand of acoustic guitar. Very Fine And Rare Instruments.

When talking about Japanese made acoustic guitars people tend to think of Yamaha, Takamine, and Alvarez as being the major brands of acoustic guitars that are made in Japan. The sticker that should be visible inside the sound hole of his guitar is absent – but Uncle Tom’s Yamaki flat top has abalone inlay up the fingerboard the likes of which would be seen on a Martin D-42, or a Martin D 45.

If you know guitars and you look at that picture of a Yamaki acoustic guitar up above, then it’s clear that that guitar is a copy of a Martin D 18. If you do see one, and it’s in playable or repairable condition at all, then I seriously suggest that you buy that guitar if you are financially able to.

The Yamaki acoustic guitar that my Uncle Thomas owns would more be a “super Deluxe” or something, it’s a more decorated model than the Yamaki deluxe in the very fine photo above.

Yamaki Acoustic Guitars. I became acquainted with one just this last week, and couldn’t have possibly been more impressed with that guitar. Here’s what I know for certain – I like Yamaha acoustic guitars, and I consider them to be fine guitars, and especially if you buy one of their solid tonewood construction L series guitars – but I’m positive that the Yamaki guitar that I played this past week was better than any Yamaha acoustic guitar that I’ve ever seen or played, in fact, it was a very comparable guitar in quality to the Alvarez acoustic guitar that I fell in love with once at the North Texas Guitar Centre – but a more expensive or fancier guitar.. From the looks of the thing – I’m betting a thousand to one that it’s a solid spruce soundboard, a hallmark of a great acoustic guitar.

I’ve seen exactly two of these guitars ever.

Yamaki Acoustic Guitars.

I’m sticking to the full sized photo above – because it’s such a beautiful photo. Were I unable to use that one, then I’d not be able or likely to find another photo so comparable. The thing that is MOST clear from that photo is that the guitar features a spruce soundboard. Hell, if I owned a digital camera I’d certainly do that right away for this hub.

The Yamaki Deluxe Acoustic Guitar.

Now – looking at the fine photo above we see an example of the Yamaki acoustic guitar model called “The Yamaki Deluxe.” This guitar more resembles my Uncle Tom’s guitar than does the other photo, and the reason for this is that the sound board of this guitar is clearly a different wood than is the spruce sound board in the top photo. My uncle James owns one as well, and that would be the one that my grandfather used to own. I’ve not seen that guitar in years – I hope that cleared up any confusion that I might have created.

. In time I’d like to get a good shot of my Uncle Thomas’ Yamaki Acoustic guitar. You can’t really know how good a quality that guitar is from the picture – you don’t and can’t know whether or not it’s a solid wood construction guitar or not, but I’m betting that that is exactly what it is. Those three companies are the three major companies in Japan that have been and still are making acoustic guitars. Basically, the two Yamaki acoustics that I’ve had my hands on both belong to Uncles of mine, and one of those uncles at one point or another had owned both of them.

I can’t speak for how truthful or accurate this next thing is, but the story that I was told was that the way that Yamaki was displayed on the head stocks of their acoustic guitars looked so similar to how Yamaha was displayed on the head stocks of their guitars that Yamaha sued, and had the Yamaki company to change things. The other one I’d seen once belonged to my grandfather, and I nearly bought it from him at one point. I very much liked both of them

10 Tips for Betting on Football

“The sharps are usually members of a betting syndicate privy to the most up-to-date information on injuries, weather, game plans, and, most important, the real power of the teams involved. “Because alcohol clouds your judgment and usually helps you to make rash decisions you usually wouldn’t otherwise make. Otherwise, you’re better off doing your own research.”

Newspapers and popular sports sites routinely publish the lines or point spreads for games, and football insiders offer their picks to viewers each week on ESPN and other cable networks.

“A square or recreational player might have a vague plan, but after two Corona’s he will definitely run to the window and make a hasty decision on the USC-Notre Dame game because he wants to be involved in the party atmosphere,” Vaccaro says. Also, being “in action” can make a dull late-afternoon game (Buffalo vs. But, when you’re struggling, that’s when you want to reduce your bet size until you get out of your slump. “There will be more discrepancy in the numbers at different sports books.

1. The payout is just the same as far as he is concerned.

“The standard bet requires gamblers to lay $11 for every $10 they want to win with the extra $1 or 10 percent known as the juice,” Konik says. “Common wisdom says that over the course of a long football season the average man or woman will pick approximately 50 percent winners. These books change their numbers according to the betting patterns of their customers, so it is not entirely uncommon to find two or three point differences in the lines.”

And remember, in the immortal words of “Fast” Eddie Felson, “Money won is twice as sweet as money earned.”

“The talking heads on TV know nothing about sports betting,” says Sevransky. “The key to proper money management is to be sure not to bet more than you can afford to lose.”

While these tips don’t guarantee you’re going to win, hopefully they can make you a little less square and a little more sharp in your picks this season. There are almost an infinite number of scenarios that can happen in a single football game. Focus on Conferences – “The best way to win money betting football is to develop a niche and follow it closely,” Moseman advises. “As for me, the best bet in football is betting the point spread or over/under totals on individual games.

“A square is the average, unsophisticated gambler whose decision making is based on hunches, media manipulation, or spurious systems that cannot overcome the bookmaker’s inherent mathematical advantage,” Konik explains.

9. “For example, if you have a $1,000 bankroll for the season, you should generally bet no more than $50 a game.”

“The biggest mistake that amateur bettors make is they increase their bets when they are losing,” Sevransky says. Money Management – “This is without a doubt the most important aspect of betting on sports and possibly the most neglected,” says Morey “Doc” Moseman, a professional gambler and sports consultant with for nearly 40 years. “If you become an expert on a smaller conference like the WAC, you have a good chance to beat the house because sports book operators do not have the time or resources to follow this conference the way you can. If you are going to go with a favorite, it is best to place your bet early in the week when the sharps are laying heavy money on the points. “In trying to bamboozle potential customers, many services make claims about having scouts all over the country that give them inside information and promise 70 or even 80 percent winners, as if the bookmakers were the biggest suckers in the world. He loses year after year, according to Dan Gordon, a top football handicapper and author of How to Beat the Sports Books (Cardoza Publishing 2005). “Teams play inspired ball at home. Consider Underdogs – “In the long-run, it’s easier to win betting on the underdog,” Konik says.

But that doesn’t mean you have to bet like a “square” and throw away your hard-earned money.

“There is probably no better bet in sports than playing an underdog at home,” Moseman says. The only touts bettors should consider are the ones who talk about the long haul and realistic winning percentages, which are in the upper 50 percent to lower 60 percent range.”

So, how much should you bet a game?

“Most people with an understanding of football gambling bet between 3 percent and 5 percent of their bankroll, increasing when they win and reducing when they lose,” Vaccaro says.

So, how much are we gambling each football season?

And where does all that money go?

Even Hollywood is not immune – think Two for the Money with Al Pacino and Matthew McConaughey.

3. Bet at the Right Time – “The sharp bettors tend to bet underdogs, and they tend to bet them early,” Moseman says. Oakland comes to mind) seem like the Super Bowl. To be a successful sports bettor you need to operate with a clear mind.”

Although exact figures are impossible to calculate, according to Jimmy Vaccaro, widely considered to be Las Vegas’ most influential bookmaker, Americans probably wager more than $50 billion a year on NFL and college football combined. If you like an underdog, it is best to get your bet in as late as possible, where there is heavy action from squares on favorites. Locks Don’t Exist – “Anyone who has watched sports for about a month realizes that the difference between winning and losing, especially against the spread, can be infinitesimally small,” Gordon says. They use powerful computers that can process millions of bits of data and produce a more accurate point-spread line than the bookmakers.”

4. Slim underdogs regularly win outright. There is a wealth of information on the Internet; it is just up to you to find it and research it daily.”

Michael Konik, a sports writer and best-selling author of The Smart Money (Simon & Schuster 2006), explains why it is so hard for the recreational gambler to win at betting on football. “Squares usually bet later in the week and they tend to pick the favorites. The only locks that exist are those that need keys to open them.”

Certainly not back into the pockets of the average bettor. Avoid Chasing Bets – “Don’t do it! There is no worse way to mismanage your bankroll than to chase your bets after a losing day,” cautions Moseman on the dangerous practice of trying to immediately win back your losses.

7. Avoid Exotic Bets – “For very skilled handicappers, with a proven track record, there can, at least in theory, be value in betting parlays,” says Gordon on the type of bet that combines two or more individual wagers.

5. “If you listen to their advice, you are sure to lose. If North Texas is his best bet on a Saturday then that is his bet.

Also, it’s probably a good idea to disregard advice from the myriad of ex-players and football experts you see on television each week.

2. “Over the course of several seasons, the percentage of bettors who turn a profit is minuscule.”

Another difference between squares and sharps is how they approach betting on game day.

But even though the math says it’s virtually impossible to win on a consistent basis, Americans continue to bet on football. The NFL, for example, will have very similar numbers at most of the betting shops you visit. “When you’re in a good rhythm and winning, you want to increase your bets. Drinking and Gambling Don’t Mix – “There is a reason the casinos in Las Vegas supply you with free drinks while you are gambling,” Moseman says.

. And why not? We have unconditional love for the sport and betting $50 or $100 on a game adds an extra rush of adrenaline. Not all games work according to this formula, but it is usually a good rule of thumb.”

“A sharp or smart has a plan of what he wants to do,” says Vaccaro, the director of sports operations and public relations at Lucky’s Race and Sports Book in Las Vegas. “Most people prefer to bet on the ‘better’ team, the one that will probably win the game. “In the NFL, a game will often be totally turned around by one or two plays, or even a single penalty. Chasing losses is the fastest way to the poor house.”

“The bookies fear and despise a tiny coterie of professional bettors known as ‘the sharps,’” Konik says. “Thus, the bookies love and cherish the squares.”

8. If you want advice about sports betting, find someone who has a successful track record.

6. Giving 11 to 10 odds is almost always the cheapest price you can give.”

So, is it possible for the average square to become a little sharper in making football bets this season? According to professionals like Vacarro, Konik and Gordon, amateur bettors have the best chance to win if they demonstrate a little patience and follow the 10 basic tips below. On college you will be able to find different lines at different sports books. Shop For Numbers – “Another important aspect of betting on football is shopping for the best number,” Moseman explains. So underdogs tend to be slightly undervalued – except by the sharps.”

10. He is not taken in by being involved in USC-Notre Dame just because it is the biggest watched game of the day.

Betting on football games; whether it’s through a local bookie, an offshore Internet site or a Nevada casino (still the only legal place in America to make football bets), most of us have done it or know of someone who has. Big underdogs often find ways to cover the spread and they rarely give up toward the end of a game in front of the home crowd.”

Ted Sevransky, a well-known Las Vegas gambler and sports consultant with, agrees.

“In an average season, fewer than one bettor in twelve turns a profit,” Gordon says.

Moseman agrees and especially likes home underdogs. Research Football Services – “Most sports services realize that most people who sign up with them are insecure,” Gordon warns. “He is not jaded by teams and does not bet with his heart. Thanks to the juice, the only one who profits in this scenario is the bookmaker. In fact, sports bettors must pick 52.4 percent winners just to break even.”

However, Konik adds that there are some bettors who actually know how to beat the bookies

Richard Gere Interview on 9/11, New Movie ‘Arbitrage’ Video

One thing about this movie, but people think — you and I and probably the 400 people who are here, we think we can compartmentalize our morality. You play a wall street titan, a benevolent billionaire on the outside. Just like today. They started to tell me what was going on. One of them is your wife. The phone wasn’t working. Like san sebastian, the whole town, the whole region comes out. The movie’s going to be a big hit. Yeah. He’s wealthy, yeah. I was here in new york. Everything. The wonderful, charities. Especially the european ones. You know, she’s gotten very comfortable with the lifestyle. The shopping. It’s just filled with love and affection. They’re all connected. I was making too good of a case. From the cops. The festivals that I’ve been to. The drinking. It was such a beautiful day. Were you in washington then? I was here. You have to be of a certain age and they start giving you this stuff. It recalls the bernie madoff scandal. The trainers. So, three hours later, I’m up there. Absolutely. Mid life. And I come into this retreat that’s on a lake. And everyone was okay. You knew nothing? I knew nothing until I got there because I had the radio off. I was driving up to massachusetts. And it was such a beautiful day. Richard, thank you very much.

. Also getting honored, I saw at the zurich film festival. How do you think I’ve tolerated all this? Tolerated? What about me? What about the complaining. I left like 7:00 in the morning. I forgot this was the 11th until this morning. It’s very generous and very loving. I don’t know what’s going on. I think europeans are — the whole town comes out. If you look at her actions and where she’s coming from. She says one of the things you pull off here in the character, is everyone is watching this thing, knowing at some level, your character’s a very bad guy. It is getting such great reviews all across the country. But on the inside, your world seems to be crashing in on you. Talking to my producer, kate, about this early this morning. This is something ripped out of the headlines. The cell wasn’t working. You know, at the peak of your power right now. It doesn’t work that way. Our actions, our thoughts, our morality, resonates through every part of our lives. I didn’t even want the radio on. But you’re also rooting for him. That moment seems so fresh. I couldn’t call back home. Susan sarandon. Let’s show a little of that. The unhappiness. But it’s very nice. You remember, it was the most beautiful day. Thank you for sharing that. I finally got through to the family. I left early in the morning. Test Text1 plain On this 11th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, we pause, now, to remember that moment, when the first plane hit the world trade center. This guy makes very bad decisions. It’s hard not to get caught up in that, richard. I don’t know if he’s a billionaire, by the way. If you really look at the film, there’s nobody in this film that doesn’t make some bad decisions. By the time, the movie was released, it had gone past bernie madoff, who was obviously a very sick man. You know, when we made the movie, bernie madoff was kind of the archetype of everybody’s idea of corruption, and money, funds, greed, and all that. But these are the dinosaur awards. He’s not quite a billionaire. I do want to move on to your movie. How does it feel to get the lifetime achievement awards? It’s a little premature. That’s what everybody was doing that day. And everyone is stunned. “Arbitrage” comes out friday. I’ve had close friends come up to me who were really angry with me because they were rooting for the guy. They’re more normal people, certainly living at a different stratosphere. And now, we’re seeing all these bankers and fund managers, who are more like us. But make the same kind of moral bad decisions. Yes, the charities. How do you think I pay for them? She wanted to cut that scene because I listed 50 things. Take sure your family is okay. And we’re back, now, in the studio, with our next guest, richard gere. The movie is not easy. And we remember the victims of those attacks, 11 years ago today. We had to pull some out. And in business we can be this, at home we can be this. Although, as you say, no. ? The land of the free and the home of the brave ? a bell tolls. One of the things you get into, are the masters of the universe, also try to create their own moral universe. And our other relationships. I was on my way to a retreat up in massachusetts

All Bets Are Off On ‘Survivor’

One person was said by BoDog to work in a “production role” for CBS..

“Throughout the history of ‘Survivor,’ many have believed they knew the outcome of the show,” Ender said. “Some have been right, many have been wrong.”

Odds will be offered on the seventh “Survivor” but all bettors will be carefully monitored, BoDog President Rob Gillespie said in a statement.

At least two players have been identified as CBS employees and other names may be connected to the network or may be aliases, Bradley said. All Rights Reserved. The biggest payoff, $8,000, came on a $1,000 bet placed on the fifth “Survivor” at 8-to-1 odds.

The show narrows the field to two finalists in filmed competitions. For the current “Survivor,” the bets in question affected the odds for contestants Jenna Morasca of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Matthew Von Ertfelda of Washington, D.C.

By Lynn Elber

An online sportsbook said it has dropped betting on CBS’ “Survivor” after allegedly finding that network employees were wagering – and winning – on the hit reality show.

The Costa Rica-based found at least two CBS employees betting on the show’s outcome, said BoDog spokesman Lance Bradley. The players in question opened accounts with BoDog before “Survivor: Marquesas,” the fourth show, and bet only on the show and no other events.

“Only ‘The X-Files’ has more conspiracy theories than ‘Survivor,’” CBS spokesman Chris Ender said. Bradley said that bets taken from those alleged to be with CBS skewed the odds significantly on “Survivor” contestants.

Callers to the offices were told that wagers were no longer being accepted on “Survivor.”

Betting on events other than sports or racing is banned in Las Vegas sportsbooks, a spokeswoman for the Nevada Gaming Control Board said Thursday. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed. He declined further comment on the allegations, or on any action CBS might take.

BoDog requires that bettors must not have knowledge of an event’s outcome. The suspicion is they had insider knowledge, he said.

They wagered correctly on who would be the final two contestants in both the fourth and fifth editions of “Survivor,” Bradley said. Asked if BoDog might consider legal action, he replied: “It’s not something we’d want to pursue, as a matter of precedent.”

“We’re pretty sure this is the case,” Bradley said. Most offshore sportsbooks accept such alternative bets, said BoDog’s Bradley.

He wasn’t aware of any other possible legal sanctions.

The players’ current bets on “Survivor: Amazon” have been canceled and their money refunded, Bradley said
